UAE Presidential Adviser: Policy of Targeting Jordan and Gulf States Has Proved a Failure
Al-Taj News – Anwar Gargash, diplomatic adviser to the President of the UAE, said Monday that a state of “neither war nor peace” cannot constitute a sustainable solution, stressing that the policy of targeting the Arab Gulf states and Jordan has proved to be a failure.
Gargash added, in a post on the “X” platform, that what is needed at the current stage is to reach realistic and sustainable political solutions that address the political and economic dimensions of the crisis.
He noted that these solutions begin with moving beyond escalation and restoring navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to normal.
Gargash called for reaching a more realistic approach that goes beyond the memorandum of understanding, which he said “failed to draw up a practical and acceptable roadmap.”
The UAE Ministry of Defense announced Monday that it had dealt with a drone over the country’s territorial waters that had come from Iran.
The Ministry of Defense affirmed that the UAE Armed Forces are fully prepared and ready to deal with all threats, and that air defense systems continue their missions of monitoring and tracking the airspace around the clock.
